My Story
Lauren Suttell is equal parts clinical precision and soulful connection. Born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida, she was raised in a household where caregiving came naturally, her father, a prosthodontist; her mother, a nurse. Inspired by their example, Lauren pursued a career in healthcare, earning her BS in Nursing from the University of South Florida and spending years in cardiac care at the very hospital where she was born.
Determined to deepen her impact, she became a nurse practitioner in family medicine, where she spent over a decade delivering comprehensive care in both hospital and outpatient settings. But in 2020, driven by a vision to help people feel better in their own skin, she made the bold leap into aesthetic medicine, a world that didn’t open easily.
Despite the barriers, Lauren persisted. From paying her way through beginner injectable training to reconnecting serendipitously with a former student who mentored her into the field, she built LJ Aesthetics Medicine from the ground up, a thriving practice rooted in care, connection, and confidence.
What makes her the happiest?
It’s not just about looking better, it’s about feeling ‘seen’. Lauren finds her deepest joy in hearing from patients whose self-esteem and confidence have transformed through her work. Her practice is more than skin-deep; it’s a space of healing, empathy, and empowerment.
What advice would she give her younger self?
