"I’m not chasing perfection. I’m chasing my best self".

My Story

A force in healthcare and a motivator by mission, Darcelle Welker has spent 36 years in oncology nursing, currently serving as Director of Nursing at Moffitt Cancer Center. But her leadership journey doesn’t end at the hospital. As a certified life coach in the making, she also works with professionals and individuals who are ready to stretch beyond comfort zones and grow into their fullest potential.

Darcelle’s life is proof that your second act can be your strongest yet. After 50, she earned her Master of Nursing, crossed two Ironman 70.3 finish lines, and found herself preparing for the World Masters Championship Track Meet. Her fuel? Movement, mission, and momentum. “I feel empowered when I move my body, whether it’s on a trail, in a pool, or lifting weights. And I feel most alive when I’m helping others believe in what they thought

was impossible.”

In this chapter of life, she’s traded old habits for wholeness, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Her journey has been shaped by faith, discipline, and the quiet commitment to keep evolving. She’s leaned into her passions, from plant-based cooking to coaching, and

today, wellness is no longer a goal, but a way of living.

What makes her the happiest?

"Helping people grow. And crossing finish lines, literal and figurative, with her family by her side".

What advice would she give her younger self?

"Take care of your body. Trust your faith. Let go of what doesn’t serve you. And spend more time with the people who made you who you are".
