My Story
Alyssa Rhoads is an award-winning event planner and executive leader with two decades of experience in creating high-impact events through her company, Eventing Tampa Bay. From corporate galas to nonprofit fundraisers, she’s helped shape some of Tampa Bay’s
most memorable moments. In 2021, she also took on the role of Executive Director at the CEO Council of Tampa Bay — an exclusive network of 250 top CEOs and entrepreneurs, where she curates leadership events and facilitates trusted peer connections.
Alyssa’s proudest achievement is the Mommy & Me High Tea, an annual Mother’s Day fundraiser she founded to support Redefining Refuge. Combining her passion for events with purpose, the sold-out gathering has raised over $600,000 to fight child trafficking and
even helped fund a new community center.
A breast cancer survivor and active community member, Alyssa serves on the board of the PGA Tour’s Valspar Championship and is driven by a desire to create a lasting legacy of impact. She’s found joy in puzzles, quiet moments away from screens, and new ways to give back, especially ones that inspire her daughters to lead with compassion.
What makes her the happiest?
“After executing a successful event where I see our vision come to life.” And sunsets on the beach with her family.
Her advice to her younger self?
“Trust your instincts and keep building real relationships. The hard work will pay off. Just stay true to who you are.”
